Why A Mind Map?
Organising information using a mind map provides a clear way to show the structure in your chosen topic. The inherent structure present in a mind map as compared to a traditional linear text document make it both easy to create and understand information.

Exploring Content
Homepage
Each Topic in the Homepage is linked to individual Coggle maps, so by clicking on each of these topics students can easily explore each topic.Categories
As designed in Udacity, this course is divided into 5 categories:
- Introduction
- Research
- Technologies
- Pedagogy
- Issues
Each of these Categories is also divided into many different sub-topics.Topics
Each Topic has a dedicated map associated with it which contain information such as introductory and interview videos, research articles, ongoing projects, and many other resources which can be used to learn about the topic.Topics generally use the following format to organize their resources, but as this is an open tool, new content can always be added.
- Introductory Resources
- Scholarly Readings
- Biography of Researchers and Research Groups
- Ongoing Projects
- Media Articles
- Interviews
Every Topic map also has a "Back to Homepage" link which can be used to go back to the main map page for this course
Open Knowledge Maps is a non-profit website who's goal is to change the way research is found and shared. It utilizes NLP techniques to search for research papers and group them by similarity to help identify subject areas.
I have included links to previously generated searches around each topic covered in this course.
Currently in Beta, the organization has plans to make these maps more collaborative in nature and allow sharing and editing of the created maps.

Collaboration
Coggle was chosen as the medium for this tool because it allows for anyone to edit and add new content.
The Goal is to expand upon the content available as more students take this course.
Adding content can mean anything you believe will help other students better understand a Topic. This doesn't only mean text, media links, pictures or video, but can also be Concept Maps or new connections between nodes that express some sort of knowledge.
