Lyria was shaped by her early trauma. Run out of her village, accused of cursing her own parents with her misfortune.
Lost and terrified, the child found a mentor who taught her that the key to being accepted was a mix of fear and usefulness to the village.
There wasn't room for two witches in their isolated village, however, and Lyria was eventually forced to search for her own place to work.
The campaign finds Lyria terrified of approaching human settlements, trying to find one isolated and out of the way enough to be convinced both of her usefulness and her capability to inflict strange magics, taking protection from a priestess of Desna, also travelling the little known ways.
