Ensuring the the awarding bodies requirements are covered through a variety of teaching methods. Ensuring the content is covered in a way with learners will retain the information and be able to progress on their learning journey towards the qualification

Ensuring that the content is relevant to the industry. Giving the learners real experiences in the classroom to make them award of what to expect when they are working in industry
Subject Knowledge
Giving learners all of the knowledge and skills that they require in the classroom so that they can develop the knowledge that they have learnt and put the skills into practice in the industry.
Opportunities for Work Based Learning
Giving learners the opportunity to experience real life work through the security of the course. This can support learners in their decision to go into the chose industry but could also mean that they do not like the industry when they experience it for real
Assessment Opportunities
Assessing learners in a way which is applicable to the subject area and a way which will benefit them in future practice. For example with Health and Care a professional discussion about what they have learnt, not only so that they can display their knowledge but so that they can prepare themselves for potential interviews in the future
Appropriate to specialism
Giving learners a range of approaches that they can take when they are working in the industry. Knowledge is key but how to apply it is vital for a successful health care professional as not all decision can be made around knowledge, a lot come from experience
