Explain:
How do the changes in environment force people to modify the way they live?

Interpret:
How will my knowledge of environment adaptation help me be a more open-minded citizen?

Perspective:
How might my understanding of cultural adaptations shift my point of view?

Application:
What knowledge and skills do I need in order to understand that people adapt to their environment?

Empathy:
When in my community, how might I feel the next time I see people living differently than my family?

Self-Knowledge:
How can I apply my knowledge of adaptations due to environmental changes in the real world?

I will recognize that my own of doing things isn't necessarily the right way.

I will be more open minded and have more respect for those who have come into new situations.

I will be able to better help community members as they modify their lives.

I will respectfully ask questions in order to learn from others.

Weather can change causing people to have to modify their every day tasks in order to survive.

Weather can force people to move out of environments completely.

People who move willingly to new places experience change. There is some adapting that takes place in order to fit in and have needs met.

I will have an open mind when presented with scenarios of people living differently than me.

I will ask questions in order to gain perspective.

I will offer help and support for those who are going through adaptations.

All people struggle to work through change and deserve a helping hand.

Environments are where people live which are effected by surroundings like people, culture, geography, and weather.

People adapt in order to survive.

Survival depends on human needs.

Religion, personal beliefs, customs/traditions, and family are a few elements that make up cultural practices.

Cultural practices are important and are often attempted to be upheld through adaptations.
