How to Value People over Profit
Breaking the Cycle | People
Over
Profit
People over profit leaders can break the system. They can create the capitalism they desire.
The most important tactics to employ are the ones you learned in kindergarten: don't lie; love one another; be kind; share
Good morals make for great business--no matter who you are, where you are, etc.
Value honesty over deception. Value transparency over secrecy. Value authenticity over hype.
Value
people
over
profit.
Note it's not people
instead
of profit. Rather, it's people
over
profit.
Those who follow this pattern are typically more profitable.
Primary Question|
How do companies go from being known as placing
people
over
profit
to the complete opposite? What happens to them?
Companies become things they never intended to be.
Producing just profit will never fulfill the longings of the human heart.
So, what happens to companies? Many start with honesty and moral values. Then, they end up placing profit over people which has incredible negative effects. What causes this shift in focus?
Blend Purpose & Profit:
Rising Concern in our Society
There are many industries and companies where profit is king over people (e.g. credit card companies, food industry, etc.)
However, there is a shift towards good in our economy. Organizations are saying, "We don't just care about our customers, we also care about our world."
This type of thought is known as:
-conscious capitalism
-social good
-philanthropic capitalism

Organizations confuse being bigger with being better.
All companies start here.
And, then growth occurs and. . .
So, the question of
what happens
to companies is answered. A bigger question is posed:
Is every company subject to this patter? Is every company a victim of this cycle?
