Pseudoephedrine, works by stimulating a1 adrenergic receptors which causes vasoconstriction of nasal mucosa available OTC
cough
antitussive include codeine, dextromethorphan, works by depressing the cough center in the brain
expectorants include guaifenesin, works by irritating the gastric mucosa to help lose respiratory secretions, works best when taken with lots of water
