Use the 5x5 rule: each slide has 5 bullets, each bullet has 5 words

Consistent font and theme throughout
Relevant slides and images
Limited animations, transitions, and decorations
Simple tables and graphs
Size 18 font or larger
Quotes and References
Always use quotation marks and in text citations for quotes
No other images or text on a slide with a quote
Explain the quote with your words, not text
All images must be cited
