Lymph Drainage GOLDEN RULE
- lymph drainage to an organ IN GENERAL follows the arterial supply
--> note this is kind of counterintuitive since you would think it would be the venous drainage
--> think of the lymph drainage though as a separate drainage instead of the venous route so it takes a different path on purpose
Superficial *Cutaneous Lymph Drainage
- divided by above and below the umbilicus
- think they drain to the upper and lower ARMPITS of the body
--> axillary and inguinal

- think the superficial inguinals are MEDIAL
--> thus drain what is directly below them = MEDIAL
- think the DEEP inguinals are DEEP
--> thus drain what is DEEP in the lower leg
--> thus DEEP drains DEEP popliteal and LATERAL leg

--> the major difference is the lymph drainage of the rectum
