Superficial *Cutaneous Lymph Drainage
- divided by above and below the umbilicus
- think they drain to the upper and lower ARMPITS of the body
--> axillary and inguinal
Cutaneous Drainage Above Umbilicus
- Axillary Lymph nodes
Cutaneous Drainage Below Umbilicus
- Inguinal Lymph nodes

Testiscle Lymph drainage
- same path as for the arteries and veins of the testes
- note that the outer and superficial skin of the glans penis and scrotum is drained into the deep and superficialy inguinal lymph nodes
Lymph Drainage GOLDEN RULE
- lymph drainage to an organ IN GENERAL follows the arterial supply
--> note this is kind of counterintuitive since you would think it would be the venous drainage
--> think of the lymph drainage though as a separate drainage instead of the venous route so it takes a different path on purpose

- note the lymph drainage of the colon follows the artery supply
--> the major difference is the lymph drainage of the rectum

--> Inferior messenteric and internal illiac - Anal Canal (BELOW the dentate line)

--> blood supply = IMA
--> thus lymph drainage = IM lymph nodes

- TO is where ALL lymph drainage goes
