(a) Determination of Objectives
first step
in the process
of organising
to identify
the objectives.
It will help
management in
choice of men
& material
with help
which it can
achieve its
objectives.
(b) Determination of Activities
After deciding
necessary objectives
of enterprise,
next step
to determine
required functions
& activities
to be
performed.
For example
a Furniture
making company
will pursue
different activities
like purchasing
raw material,
purchase of management parts,
production,
advertisement,
sales etc.
(c) Grouping of Activities
Each activity
should be
properly classified
& grouped
to enable
people know
what is expected
them as a
member
of group.
Considering
the importance
& quantity
of the work ,
task is further
divided into
different branches.
(d) Appointing Suitable Persons.
After grouping
activities into
sub activities,
they should
be alloted
to individulas
" square peg
in square hole"
is ensured.
Each individual
appointed
& placed
according to
his ability.
(e) Delegation of Authority
Person will
not be able
to perform
his duties
if well
not given
adequate
authority.
Without authority
work
assigned will
be meaningless.
(f) Defining Inter relationship
Many persons
working same
organisation,
top management
is responsible
for laying
down structured
relationships.
Everybody should
clearly know
whom
he is answerable.
