Bar-codes
This product is aimed at everybody to encourage healthy eating as much as possible but specifically for people who don't eat healthily to try and make them aware of what they are eating and how it impacts their body.
The product is easy to use, free for customers as all they need to do is download an app which is quick, simple and easy to use which ultimately encourages more people.
Bar-codes are placed on the food item and scanned by phone which pops up with the sugars, carbohydrates, ingredients etc. and immediately flashing a certain colour depending on the healthiness e.g Green=Healthy, Orange=Some healthy, Red=Not healthy.
This product is very sustainable because no materials are needed for this to be created, just electronics other than the bar-codes which would be mass produced making it very cheap.
I think this product would be very popular as it's free and very accessible whilst very factual and clever. It also has a very clear target market to encourage people to eat healthier.
Healthy food of the week
-
A healthy food of the week in supermarkets would be a very efficient way of making people try new healthy products for cheaper.
A cart or trolley would be placed either outside the front of the shop or inside only selling healthy goods, including the healthy food of the week with discounted healthy goods encouraging people to be more healthy.
The cart would be fairly big with several shelves and compartments whilst staying aesthetically pleasing.
Free recipe cards
This product would be very easy to sell as its free and literally giving something away and the target market would be people who don't usually cook or eat healthily.
Samples of healthy foods can be given out and if the customer enjoys it then they can take a free recipe card and cook at home.
Free recipe cards would be handed out if you try a new, healthy product encouraging customers to stay healthy whilst at home.
Discount vouchers
Discount vouchers encourage people to eat healthier by giving them money off a product they may not have tried before because they earned enough points by trying other products which encourages more people to be more healthy.
Colour coded aisles
Colour coded aisles would be a quick and easy way to distinguish healthy products from non-healthy products. There would be colours green, orange and red aisles related to the healthiness of certain food products to help educate people on what is healthy and what isn't.
