1) The misinformation of countless suspect apprehension could of been created to pull in more viewers
2) The FBI denying official confirmation of the subject in order to keep the situation under wraps or careful surveillance.
3) The authorities using the statement that they apprehended the subject to keep the public calm or not to question the situation.
opinion about the issue, and what caused me to form that opinion
I personally feel after the first incorrect attempt at trying to broadcast the situation ALL media outlets should of stay collected enough to gather more information on the situation from officials in the area.

How could using a balance in research and reporting tactics have made a difference in the outcome of what was reported
If the news outlet would of confirmed the authorities in question of apprehending the suspect, the multiple accounts of false statements being released would of been zero to none.
The suspect was originally identified as a dark skin male but never became public to due to racial sensitivities instead they up with the lie of a white man.
