CLIMATE CHANGE
Natural causes
-
Hotter areas on the sun are called sun spots, they are black.Sunspots increase the temperature of the earth.
-
There are also two orbits which affect the amount of sunlight they receive, these two orbits are called Elliptical or Circular.
Anthropocentric cause
Cows release methane through feces into the atmosphere,we breed cows a lot, methane is a green house gas which contributes to the enhanced green house affect increasing temperatures.
Rice farms also release methane in the atmosphere, because they use warm water which rots.

-
For SPARSELY Populated :
- Poor/thin soil meaning few nutrients and low agricultural output
- Few natural resources= lack of jobs available, lack of industry
- Unpleasant living environment
- High mountainous areas= difficult to build houses/roads, difficult to use machinery, remote location to access
Coastal Features
One child policy
High numbers of female babies have ended up homeless or in orphanages, and in some cases killed. In 2000, it was reported that 90% of fetuses aborted in China were female.
Green house effect is a layer of 6 gases surrounding the earth, what the green house affect does is it traps rays of sunlight which makes the earth warmer. The gases consist of Carbon dioxide,Sulfur dioxide,Nitrogen dioxide,Methane,Ozone and water vapor.
-
The birth rate in China has fallen since 1979, and the rate of population growth is now 0.7%
Due to a traditional preference for boys,
As a result, the gender balance of the Chinese population has become distorted. Today it is thought that men outnumber women by more than 60 million.
Headlands and bays, headlands are rocks which jut of cliffs and contain hard rock which is harder to erode this is why they jut out.Bays are recessive and sandy, they are carved into cliffs and are made out of soft rock which erodes easier.

-
Long shore drift:Waves are blown by prevailing wind at an angle onto the shore, the wave then breaks and the swash take material onto the beach,it rolls down the beach at a 90 degree angle and the backwash take material back with it in a zig zag direction.
POPULATION
Human Factors
For SPARSELY Populated :
-
Remote area with poor infrastructure SO inaccessible, less industry meaning less jobs
-
For DENSLEY Populated
Advanced technology SO they can have the money and resources to exploit natural resources, improve the quality of life
Communication links e.g: many roads, ports, airports, railways SO it's an accessible place, also attracts industry which means more jobs
-
Physical Factors
For DENSLEY Populated :
- Temperate climate/ good weather
- Rain through out the year
- No extreme temperatures/ weather
- Flat/ low land areas so deeper soil to grow crops
- Large deposit of natural resources= more employment opportunities,
- Fertile soil, possible to grow lots of food for the population.
