Roy Lichtenstein is a famous pop artist from the late 1960's and early 1970's, his influence on the era was astronomical and his designs are still considered among the best. Ohio State University is planning on building a new art department and would like it to be based around his ideology and design characteristics

The current art department is very bland and doesn't express the artistic talent within the school from both pupils and former pupils such as Lichtenstein.

As a building the current art department is not modern, sustainable or environmentally friendly this leads to it being very old and hard to justify its use considering the cost implications of its upkeep in comparison to the other buildings within the complex.

Space in the complex is wasted

More sustainable and modern buildings could occupy that plot of land as oppose to this.

To create a modern and sleek facility for the art department to accommodate.

To use the space that the original building takes up in a more effective way in order to be more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

To capture the characteristics of Roy Lichtenstein's designs and to display his work throughout the building.

Consumer?

The consumer would be the students within the university, specifically the art students.

The consumer would be the teachers and workers in the building.
