music can create a relaxing environment along with suitable lighting

some people may have serious allergies
have a nut free chair ect or even some containers you cannot put nut products ect in so that no allergies spike up
light sensor as you open it so you can see what food or drink is inside
book and magazine holders in lounge room
they can be matching the room, can give a rustic library asthetic to the room
lots of storage space (function)
people can do book swaps so new material is constantly coming in
spa
massage beds
hire masseuse for booking by customers
free face masks in hotel rooms
little toiletry bag in bathroom with shampoo conditioner, face masks, hair masks, face wipes, hand cream ect
plants
potted plants around the spa
people might have allergies/ hay fever
research the least common plants to have allergies to, have them in the spa reducing the chance of someone being allergic
client and user requirements
the product will be aimed at people of all ages who are staying away from home, this means the product, in order to be successful will have to appeal to very young children right up to adults and the elderly.
performance requirements
the product should create a relaxing atmosphere for all, it shouldn't induce stress yet it should be able to create a stress free environment for all. The product should be inclusive for parents so they can allow their children to relax therefore allowing the parents to relax ect .
sustainibility
the product should be made from recyclable or reusable materials as to minimise the environmental impacts. The manufacture of the product should have as little waste as possible and should be made in the most energy efficient way
(b) How can products be used to promote and support special occasions or events?
leaflet/poster board
a wooden board with acrylic holders for leaflets, section of cork board to pin posters to.
mainly adults looking for something to do during their stay would be looking at this board.
different local companies or people hosting events can put them on the board to advertise their event
QR codes taking you to the website telling you more about the product
banners
large pieces of material in the foyer with dates and times on them promoting events going on in or around the hotel
large writing to catch peoples eye.
mainly advertising for people who don't have much to do during their stay
related items
give away at the front desk little items related to the event so people are intrigued in what you are hosting/supporting
for example if you are hosting a wedding fair give away cupcakes with rice paper and the name of your event, give the people a leaflet with the cupcake so they have more information
put them where people who might be interested would see them, wedding fair; at the venue where people who are getting married are looking for venues ect
user requirements
the product should be aimed at adults who are looking for something to do during their stay in the hotel, it could also be eye catching or advertising towards children so their parents may want to take them to the event but must primarily be aimed towards the adults which could be potentially paying for the event
performance requirements
the product should be eye catching and bold. It should be clear to see and if it is usable easy to use and operate. it should be cost efficient and must appeal to the target audience (adults) for effectiveness, it should also have the basic needs for people to attend the event such as time date and location.
sustainability
the product should be made of recycled or recyclable materials and should be as energy efficient as possible and should have little waste.
