Capital Punishment is never ethically correct
For
The value of human life is high, in some people's opinion they feel even murderers should not be deprived of the value of their lives.
capital punishment is a poor form of deterrence and most killers are willing to risk their lives to kill anyway
Many people like Catholics believe that retribution is wrong and that killing cannot be taught as being wrong by killing killers.
Capital punishment is effectively hypocrisy: as murder is illegal, the courts should not go and perform it back. The Rule of Law states that every citizen is subject to the law including the lawmakers themselves. Therefore, it should not be deemed acceptable for the courts to order murder if the criminal is being accused of murder himself.
Everyone has the right to live and even murderers have this right so sentencing them to death violates this.
also there is the fact of free will and the fact that if everyone can think freely they are responsible for there actions, however many people with mental health problems can't think for themselves and if they are sentenced to death it is probably for an actions they didn't understand
This form of justice will eventually lead to mistakes in which witnesses could change their depictions of events and lea to the wrong person getting the death sentence. This could be seen as simple murder as an innocent is being killed for no reason.
An example of these mistakes was in America where 130 innocents were sentenced to death.
also another reason is the lethal injection, it requires medical presence to do the injection which is against medical ethics.
Genesis 9:6 "Whoever sheds the blood of man through man shall his blood be shed, for in the image of God He made man."

Exodus 21.24: 'An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth': if you do something, expect it to happen to you. Thus, if you kill someone, expect to be killed yourself
Article 37 of 39 articles: 'The law of the realm may punish Christian men with death for heinous and grievous offences'.
Capital punishment is a good way to punish criminals who
have committed murder or rape of any other crime which affects a person's life.
Some say that people who murder have given up all of their human rights, including the right for them to live themselves.
The death penalty does not have to be about shooting the assailant - it can just involve death by lethal injection or 'euthanasia'.
One of the important purposes of punishment is deterrence, and as no one wants to die, then this will deter anyone.
The death penalty puts an immediate stop to evil - no more reoffences.
The death penalty prevents the risk of prison overpopulation - as prisoners are an unnecessary drain on resources, this means that the environment is saved dramatically and the air will feel fresher without the sulphur of prisoners and the CO2 emitted from the factories of which the food goes to prisoners.
