Are they really showing what they know? PERSON HAS HAD TO THROW OUT MULTIPLE QUESTIONS FROM EVERY SINGLE TEST BECAUSE OF THE INCORRECT/CONFUSING INFORMATION WRITTEN OR FROM THEIR PAID SPONSORS NAMES BEING INCLUDED IN THE QUESTIONS.
7/2 UPDATE: DOES IT REALLY BENEFIT THE STUDENTS? OR DOES IT CONTINUE TO CREATE A LARGER GAP BETWEEN THE AFFLUENT SCHOOLS AND THE POORER SCHOOLS? STANDARDIZED TESTS CONTINUE TO ALIENATE SPED AND ELL STUDENTS BECAUSE OF THE MATERIAL INCLUDED IN THE EXAM AS WELL AS THE LACK OF CULTURAL KNOWLEDGE THESE GROUPS HAVE.

7/2 UPDATE: PEARSON NOT ONLY MAKES THE MAJORITY OF TESTS STUDENTS K-12 TAKE BUT ALSO TEST THAT ARE USED TO CERTIFY TEACHERS. IN ADDITION, PEARSON MAKES THE BOOKS THAT HELP IN TAKING THE TESTS THEY MAKE. THEY HAVE A MULTIBILLION DOLLAR COMPANY MAKING MONEY OFF OF EDUCATION.

Accountability? ULTIMATELY, SCHOOLS AND TEACHER ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE RESULTS OF TESTING. AND IF THE TESTS ARE MADE BY THE TEACHERS, THATS ACCEPTABLE. BUT IF THE TEST IS MADE BY A MULTI BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY WHO IS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT MONEY THAN ABOUT A STUDENT UNDERSTANDING WHAT THEY HAVE LEARNED, THATS A PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY AREN'T BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE INACCURACIES OF THEIR WORK.
