Safety doesn't always mean from other people! You must keep your kids safe. If you have upwards opening windows, it will be harder for them to climb or fall out of.
Smash proof glass so that burglars cannot force their way through windows or glass pane doors.
Could use glass and a strong, transparent material to hold the glass together and cause them to be unbreakable
A window safety limiter means that people will be unable to fit through the window so your kids can't get out and rubbers can't get in.
Window alarms can alert you to an intruder. You can then have time to prepare or call the police or with luck it will scare the robber away!
Multiple locks mean that the door is harder to breach. The bars that move across mean that it is harder to unlock the door as a burglar as they would be unable to use a crowbar to wrench the door open.
Using your phone to open your door is both a good and bad idea. First of all, it will allow you to open your door remotely making it easier for you and means you do not have to carry around keys with you that run the risk of being stolen.
However, this also means that if your phone is stolen, people have the ability to break into your house. Plus, this may cause the door to be less secure as it only uses one lock.
Around the home
Tripping on a cable can be and is very dangerous and could and does cause bodily harm! Cable management is a must in safe households, especially if you have kids who run around a lot.
Having stairs that turn and you slip, you won't fall far and will sustain minimal injury.
