We hear sounds of water gushing to create an atmosphere of cleansing and serenity
Releatable - Uses a variety of people of different genders, cultures, races and ages. Makes the people smile
Slow motion to seduce viewers and mesmerize them

Sunflower seeds
Comments on whether or not individuals are powerful when we are together. Every seed is identical
Seeds are identical - Comments on the cultural revolution in China. People were stripped of their culture and everyone became identical, just like the seeds. Also comments on the made in China label
Seeds are home-made from porcelain - overwhelming for the viewer
Focuses on the significance of individuals, and the imposing strength when they gather together
The sunflower seed is a common street snack in China
It alludes to the globalization and mass production in China that caters to Western consumerism, and talks about the deemed insignificant manual labours at the bottom of thee production chain

The Gates
Made for the pedestrian, in motion and not a static object
7503 free hanging safron coloured fabric panels
Title - alludes to a threshold, a point of exit and entrance, but in some places, the structures form an oval. No starting point from which to view the artwork.
Gates remained for 16 days
The Gates are tied to the paths that meander through the park: to avoid drilling thousands of holes into the soil and potentially harming the root systems of trees, and because the artists were inspired by the way the city's pedestrians navigate its paths
The gates moved in the wind, projecting on one another at different levels, sometimes hiding the buildings around the park

I like America and America likes me
Beuys spent several days in a room with only a felt blanket, a flashlight, a cane, copies of the wall street journal and a live coyote
Coyote - holds great spiritual value for Narrative Americans
The action began at the airport, where friends wrapped him in felt and transported him to the gallery in an ambulance
Two unequal characters, for whom communication fails, somehow find a way to deal with each other and with the failure of their communication simply because the live together
