Life in america
the Italians had a great sense of family but some times it inter-feared with schooling
Some times american people would look down on them like a lesser people in there society
They almost immediately found jobs usually low paying low skill ones

They ushaly where almost out of ellis island in days but sometimes people where sent home
Italy was poor so many Italians wanted to leave Italy to make it rich in america
It was 2 weeks of strait voyage filled with singing and games
The where usually in the worst part of the boat only aloud to come up sometimes

They where forced out of Russia by angry mobs because Jews where being scapegoated
They where second class passengers who could do what they wanted on the ship and go on the deck at any moment they so chose
The usually spent a day on elis island and where rarely sent home
Life in america
They ran tons of small businesses and stores
They couldn't get certain jobs because they where Jewish
They where surprise by the fact they could easily get schooling and most young people went to collage
most women sowed and nit for money
