Scientific Skills
Qualitative- relating to, measuring, or measured by the quality of something rather than its quantity.
Quantitative- relating to, measuring, or measured by the quantity of something rather than its quality.
Independent- free from outside control; not depending on another's authority.
Dependent- requiring something to function
Controlled variable- one which the researcher holds constant during an experiment.
I can read through an experiment or data set
Mean: Add all of the numbers together and divide by the number of numbers. EX: find the mean of 4, 6, 8 the answer would be 6
Mode: The value that occurs the most often
Median: Put all your numbers in number order and the one in the middle is the answer. If there is two then add them and divide them by two
