- - - - RNA Polymerase adds RNA nucleotides one at a time after the TATA box. The direction it goes in is 5' to 3'. These nucleotides are complementary to the nucleotides on the DNA strand.

        Termination
        
        Termination is when the RNA polymerase reaches a point in the DNA strand where a signal tells the RNA nucleotides to go no further.

        Initiation
        
        Beginning of translation, ribosome gets with mRNA and the translation begins.
        
        For initiation, the requirements are a ribosome, mRNA, and an initiator which is essentially tRNA carrying the important amino acid.
        
        tRNA attaches to the small subunit of the ribosome. They then bind to the mRNA because of the 5' cap. They then go through the mRNA until the 3' end where the codon is.
