Taaleem: Inclusion and Student Support
Monitoring the achievement and well-being of all our students and the quality/nature of the learning opportunities they are offered.
Behavior/Difficulty has been documented and corrected by student or teacher. No further intervention needed.
Notify Head of Grade with concerns and give possible strategies or interventions that are agreed upon between teacher and HoG for one month.
Behavior/Difficulty has not improved. Report concerns via the Raha Inclusion Department Referral Form
List strategies you have used in the classroom and outcomes. Documented strategies or interventions should be attempted for one month prior to referral.
Submission to Inclusion Team
Action following assessment/observation/discussion with Head of Inclusion or Inclusion or EAL Specialist
Possible Grouping
Students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Students whose home language is not English (EAL).
Students who are Gifted and Talented (G&T).
Students who might be subject to abuse or harassment, for whatever reason.
Students who are young carers.
Students whose family are in crisis or under great stress.
Students at risk of significant harm.
Students with poor attendance and/or punctuality.
Students who are at risk of disaffection and exclusion from school.
Students who have a temporary high-level need.
After identification is made:
Student has been observed/assessed and no further support is needed at this time
Student will be placed on Inclusion Register/have a Student Passport/receive additional internal or external support with parental consent.
Student will receive differentiated in-class support and be monitored
Student is already on the Inclusion Register — Further strategies will be shared/further action will be taken.
Information will be sent to relevant teachers in regards to students accommodations and curriculum modifications
Teachers must discuss any inclusion concerns with parents before referring a student for support.
HoG will notify parents of concerns.
