- - - - Collaboration on projects in homogeneous groups with other gifted students
        
        Research shows that enabling gifted students to work together in groups boosts their academic achievement and benefits other students in the classroom, as well. When gifted students work together, they challenge themselves in unexpected ways. They bounce ideas off one another and take a peer's idea to a new place. They also learn that as smart as they are, they, too, must exert effort with challenging content—and that they'll sometimes fail along the way. One collaborative project may include a comic representation of advanced concepts related to the subject matter. Another might include a group performance.
      - Extend the lesson
        
        With this strategy, students would complete more complicated assignments related to the same lesson everyone else is doing. For example, if the lesson was about the solar system; while the class may be learning about the order of the planets, this group of students might be doing an activity that asks critical questions about the atmosphere of some of the planets.
  - - - Task Cards or Centers
        
        Set up the activities around the classroom. The students travel from one task to the next. The descriptive task cards are colored coded for the ability level. Each student is told what color they are to work from.       - Think Dots
        
        Provides up to six tasks to complete for learning skills and/or concepts (e.g. fractions, plot analysis) Each task is progressively more difficult and connected to the learning objective.Students are grouped by readiness,interest, and/or learning profile. Students randomly pick(use a die) or choose a specific number of tasks to complete out of those provided (e.g. 3 of 6, 4 of 6, 6 of 6). I might assigned some of the tasks as mandatory, and some as optional.
  - - - USE BAR MODELING REPRESENTATIONS TO DECODE WORD PROBLEMS
        
        When students move from the word problem to a bar model, and then choose an operation to write an expression or equation, they are sharpening their reading skills.       - Use Manipulatives

      - Simplified Tutorials/ Demonstrations
