Strategy for Pre-assessment Differentiation
Small group of "We are ready to learn"
Pre-assessment:
Show this group of students only the drawing pictures of the characters that they are going to learn, encourage them to write it the characters down by themselves on the whiteboard and show them to me. They will also be asked what is the first thoughts of the characters that they write down.
Data Tracking:
For the characters' practice, I will have the
whiteboards
that they wrote to track how they did in the assessment. For long term tracking, I will make notes of each one's work on Smart Seat. For the
first and final thoughts
, I have a sheet to keep the results of each one.
