Flow chart for identifying learning support needs in my classroom
Student displays unusual traits or signs of disabilities during lessons :
Difficulty in reading, or dislikes reading or writing; avoids reading out loud (Help guide, 2019)
Monitor and record class observations
Report findings to Head of Grade (HOG)/ Learning support and counselors/ administrators (if applicable)
HOG will consult with parents and caregivers about student performance
Recommended third-party testing service/counselor
Any of the disabilities test applied:
CAT4
ISA testing
'Jabborwocky' Alice in Wonderland Test
Psychological tests
Emotional and behavioural tests
Other learning disabilities
Triangulation of data
Individualised Learning Plan
