materials
grey board
grey board is made from 100% recycled paper and card. this is good for the environment because it can keep on being used. this wont be useful because it isn't very strong
acrylic
it is a thermos-plastic. it can be chopped up[ and melted back down, acrylic is strong to be the windows in a model building. it isn't much work because you don't have to sand it down like you do when you mould metal.
oak
I would only buy FSC oak and it could be used for my display plaque because it has a nice finished when it is polished.
chipboard
I might use chip board as the base of my model. has a textured look so can be painted. it can be used as a model base but the cut of it doesn't look atheistically pleasing.
mdf
made from saw dust and mixed with formaldehyde. this glue causes cancer therefore it is important that if I use this I will wear a mask when sanding. I can use it for my roofs and walls on my model because it is structurally strong.
paper
really suing for printing onto in class. 80 microns thick and 80 GSM. you can also laminate paper to protect the surface and make it last longer.

reuse
I could reuse the plastic for the counters for my board game by chopping them up into granules and then re injection mould them into the new shape for my own counters
