Endings often do provoke such mourning, but this would be a better occasion for architects to recognize the need for inventing a new model of action, one not predicated on the difference between art and the world, but rather facing their profound imbrication. There is much to be gained from the cross-fertilization between architecture and the arts that is enriching the contemporary cultural ecology, but the pavilion, now no more than a professionalized product without a project, has reached its limit.
