Teacher puts 2 sentences on the board
Sentence one is a "Telling Sentence" which has no :green_cross: literary devices
Sentence two is a "Showing Sentence" which includes :check: literary devices
The teacher then ask students which sentence is more impactful

Identify a literary device
Comment on the use of the devices to appeal to the senses
Create a piece to enhance individual description

Ask students to compare both paragraphs and comment on which is more effective
Show a 2nd paragraph which employs literary devices
Ask students to comment on the piece
Show a video of a paragraph without the use of literary devices
The Teacher will :

View and listen to the video of the 1st paragraph {without the use of literary devices}
Comment on the piece
View and listen to the video of the 2nd paragraph {with literary devices included}
Compare the two paragraphs
Comment on which paragraph was more effective and the reasons for such effectiveness
