Prince of Wales Dock
was used as a dock usgae area
now used asa marina and a wake boarding facility
Kings dock
developed in order to meet the demands of the tinplate exports
now used for cargo operations of trading
South Dock
was used for private industry trading but was only open for 20 years
now used as swansea marina and is populated with residential buildings
needed for the increase in population of swansea
Queens dock
was used for imports and exports of oil but petrochemicals
now used for muscle farming
North Dock
Was used for shipping and was poorly lit so was common for prostitutes to gather and make money

Unintentional impacts on the coastline
increased the coastal economy
sea defences due to cost-benefit analysis
coastline has become more structured due to the defences and the changes to the area
beaches now used for more recreational tasks
more boat mooring which has calmed the beaches
Effects of the impacts on the coastal landforms
the less trading has caused the beaches to be more calm and this means they are less destructive beaches and more constructive
more pleasing place to live
Consequences of these impacts
increased popularity to the city
increased job opportunity in the tertiary sector of work instead of the secondary sector
a lot more coastal protection, sea walls, groynes, sand dune replenishment and rock armour
