Negatives of Punishment
Does not teach the "right" behaviour. Can cause frustration and anger in the person being punished. Releasing this anger can be negatively reinforced. Causes fear of person giving punishment. Can become an outlet for the frustration of the punishment - it makes the punisher feel better (negative reinforcement)
What is OC?
Operant conditioning is about the association between a behaviour and its consequences. A behaviour followed by a positive consequence is likely to be repeated. A behaviour followed by a negative consequence is less likely to be repeated. Operant - the coluntary behaviour shown with no stimulus to trigger it
