The menstrual cycle is the cycle in which a woman's body prepares itself for pregnancy and releases and egg for fertilization. The uterus prepares itself to receive a baby and it walls becomes thicker. It the egg is not fertilized the uterus walls breaks down and sheds
Fertilization
If sperm ae present, the egg might join with a sperm in a process called fertilization.
Ovulation
Near the end of the menstruation, hormones cause an egg to be released from the ovary
Each month and adult womam will release one mature egg- process called ovulation
Menopause
When females get older, the reproductive system stops releasing eggs, When this happens, the woman reaches the menopause.
It is when menstrual cycle stops. Menopause occurs because a woman's ovaries produce fewer hormones
