Anthem
The South African Anthem, Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika, Was written by Enoch Sontonga and
Cornelis Jacobus Langenhoven. The national anthem of South Africa was adopted in 1997. The South African national anthem is often referred to by its incipit of "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika", however this has never been "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika". It was composed by a Methodist school teacher named Enoch Sontonga in 1897.

The winning design belonged to Iaan Bekker and was introduced by president Thabo Mbeki on Freedom Day 2000.

The South African flag was designed by Fredrick Bronwell on the 27th of April 1994. There are six colours in the South African flag. These are the colours:
Black, yellow, green, blue, red and white.

The National flower of South Africa is the King Sugar Bush otherwise known as the Giant Protea or just the Protea.
National Bird
The South African National Bird is the Blue Crane. The Blue Crane is also known as the Stanley Crane or the Paradise Crane.
National Fish
The Galjoen, Black Bream or Blackfish is the national fish of South Africa.
Main Mountain Range
There are many mountain ranges in South Africa but the main one is the Drakensberg Mountain Range in Kwazulu-Natal. The Drakensberg is 1125 km long.
Main River
There are many main rivers in South Africa such as the Breede River, the Crocodile River and the Levubu River but the main river is the Orange River. It's the largest river in South Africa and forms part of border of Namibia and Lesotho.
