He started by in 1530 redirecting all the money from the small monasteries to him
He then named himself the ‘supreme head and sole protector of the church’ which gave him more power
He saw Luther’s consequences with breaking from Rome which included all the money being sent would be directly sent to the king
in march 1531 decided to pass the ‘act in conditional restraint of Annates’ money to pope decreased and lost relation ship
‘act in restraint of appeal’ which stopped the Pope from the right to intervene in law cases in England and granted himself permission to get a divorce
‘Act Against Peter’s Pence’ which reveals that Henry wanted control over the church
‘Act Of Supremacy’ which was the final blow against Rome and ended their religious relationship

Luther named many of the bad things and things the catholic church got wrong in the letter he nailed on the door of his local church in germany
People all around the country were criticising the catholic church for being corrupt with its fake relics and it’s badly performed plays and it’s adoration for indulgences in every subject
During all of this only 1 parliament in 1529 was called to discuss the matter that the whole of England was complaining about
Henry himself decided on one act called ‘Peter’s Pence’ in order to be able to visit all the churches and be able to reform them in any way he likes

Henry first had to divorce from Catherine as she could not have any more children
In 1527 Charles V had held the pope as a virtual prisoner which significantly influenced and determined the Pope’s answer to Henry divorce from Catherine. but this couldn't happen
Henry realised in 1524 that he had no heir to the throne meaning that it would be passed on to Henry’s relatives
Henry was in a relationship with Anne Boleyn but could not have children as the Pope said they would be named ‘illegitimate.’
He then married Anne Boleyn just in time to have their child not classed illegitimate. Elizabeth 1st was then born in September 1533
1533 he successfully managed to divorce from Catherine from law court

Then he began being with only her and basically leaving Catherine behind
He then got the news in 1533 that Anne was pregnant and he realised he had to marry her now otherwise the heir he really wanted would be classed illegitimate and would not be able to take the throne
It started when in 1524 he started sleeping with her and ended up being infatuated with her even though Henry was married to Catherine of Aragon. This heavily tied in with his struggle to get a divorce
got married to Anne in January 1533
Anne was crowned queen in June 1533 and although Henry was desperate for a male heir Elizabeth the 1st was born
