ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
THERMISTOR
A thermistor is a type of
resistor whose resistance is depent on temperature more so than in standard resistors.
There are two types of thermistors: negative temperature coefficient (NTC) and psitive temperature coeddicient (PTC).
With an NTC thermistor, when the temperature increases resistance decreases. this type is the thermistor thatis used the most.

POTENTIOMETER
A potentiometer is used as an instrument for measuring an electromotive force by balancing it against the potencial difference produced by passing a known current through a known variable resistance.
A potentiometer is a variable resistor with a third adjustable terminal. The potentioal at the third terminal can be adjusted to give any fraction of the potential across the ends of the resistor

TRANSISTORS
A transistor is a minature electronic component that can do two different jobs. It can work either as an amplifier or a switch : when it works as an amplifier it takes in a tiny electric current at one end and produces a much bigger electric current at the other.
There are two types of transistors P-N-P and N-P-N the fist one means positive-negative-positive and the second means negative-positive-negative
Differences:there are various factors like doping element, nature of doping element the majority and minority carries in the p-type and n-type semiconductor. The densuty of electrons and holes, energy level and fermi level the direction of movement of majority carries, etc.

CAPACITOR
A capacitor is a passive two-terminal electrical component used to store energy electrostatically in an electric field.
The forms of practical capacitors vary widely, but all contain at lest two electrical conductors separated by a dielectric
The most common use for capacitors is energy storage. Additional uses include power conditioning, signal coupling or docoupling, electronic noise filtering, and remote sensing.
