linear equations
A linear equation is special because: It has one or two variables. ... When you find pairs of values that make the linear equation true and plot those pairs on a coordinate grid, all of the points for any one equation lie on the same line. Linear equations graph as straight lines.
radical equations
A radical equation is an equation in which a variable is under a radical. To solve a radical equation: Isolate the radical expression involving the variable. If more than one radical expression involves the variable, then isolate one of them.
exponential equations
The slope of the tangent to the graph at each point is equal to its y-coordinate at that point, as implied by its derivative function. Its inverse function is the natural logarithm, denoted or because of this, some old texts refer to the exponential function as the antilogarithm.
