Social Skills Lesson.
Additional Modelling
Building upon Interactive Modelling. The teacher can add more depth to the modelling strategy by making it more personalized to an individual student or smaller group, as opposed to the whole class. Examples of modelling are;
- Use a pop/culture icon.
- Use a model parent.
- Model a character from a play or story.
- Ask the student to create an imaginary model based on how they would like to envision themselves in the future.
- Lead by example- teacher modelling.
Additional Role Playing
Building upon the original idea of Role Playing. The teacher can ask the students to create a character based on themselves, and receive criticism and feedback as that character. A way in which this could be done is; the student takes on the name of an idol and will be called by this name throughout the year.

Buddy Teacher Time Out
Instantly effective for disruptive behavior. Disruptive student is removed from the class and taken into the care of another teacher. The positives of this approach are;
- To stop a negative cycle of behavior.
- Change of scenery can help the student settle down.
- The teacher can continue to work with his/her own class.
- Can help the teacher stay calm.

Rule Creation
Create a series of norms, procedures and expectations for the classrom; examples of these could include,
*1. Respect everyone in the classroom.
- Always raise your hand when you need attention.
- Always encourage your peers.
- Always use positive language in class.
- Be kind and polite to everyone.*
Interactive Modelling

- Say what you will model and why?
- Model the behavior.
3.Ask students what they noticed.
- Invite on or more students to model.
- Again, ask student what they noticed.
- Have all students practice.
- Provide feedback.

Logical Consequences
Students are given consequences for disrespectful behavoir in class. Examples of these consequences, could be;
- Time out.
- Take a break
- Detention.
- Loss of privilege.

Morning Meeting
Create a daily gathering for all the class. The gatherings will take place at the beginning of the day. Teachers & students will meet and greet each other. Morning meeting practices might include;
- Student/teacher introduction.
- Simple meet & greet.
- Daily huddle.
- Register check & attendance.
- Daily news bulletin.

Classroom Organization
Use different strategies/methods to organize your classroom. Things that might help organize your classroom, could be;
- A class attention code.
- File/folder for each student in the class, for parent-teacher communication.
- Hand out hall pass/bathroom passes to students.
- Assign each child a number that corresponds to their grade book.
- Use an appointment clock.
- Amass materials.
- Find out which students have health problems, need extra support for learning or leave early for the bus.
