Bullying
Tier Two
Peer Tutoring in English/Math which are weak subjects; maybe tutor others in strong subjects. Find peer who is kind and helpful.
-
Develop Behavior Contract. Have student sit down with a teacher who struggles with them and a teacher who does not and have them both devise a plan for appropriate classroom behavior.
Tier Three
Structured Time-out. Student goes and sits in pre-arranged area of room for a set amount of time. Time and frequency is logged. Student must still do work, but cannot interact with peers during this time. Student is aware of rules that lead to time-out before implementation.
Mentoring with a favorite Teacher. The student does well in several classes, so one of those teachers could serve as a mentor, to support and encourage student and hold discussions on why mis-behavior is continuing.
-
Tier One
Talk one-on-one with trusted teacher. Get a teacher from a class that student enjoys and have them discuss appropriate classroom behavior and what might help student to master it.
Teach Conflict Resolution Skills - also teach as whole class lesson, presented as good life skills (they are, it's just that this is one way to not single out one student for notice).
Teach relationship Skills - do as whole class skill, presenting lesson as good life skills.

Tier Two
Peer Tutoring. Have a peer in the class tutor student in subjects of concern. Pick outgoing, patient and friendly peers.
Take Structured Breaks. Allow the student to have a voluntary time-out when they need it. Limited to so many times a period, the student may go sit quietly or run an errand for teacher - something to allow them to de-stress for a few minutes.
Behavior Contract - have the student discuss with the teacher the problem behaviors and how they might be solved. Together create a behavior contract for the student to follow.
Tier Three
Structured Time out - Student goes and sits in pre-arranged area of room for a set amount of time. Time and frequency is logged. Student must still do work, but cannot interact with peers during this time. Student is aware of rules that lead to time-out before implementation.

Tier One
-
Break down directions and assignments - the student is likely to be having issues understanding tasks and is acting out as a result of frustrations.
-
Strategies
Bullying
Limited Choices - student gets 2/3 choices of what they will do, either one puts them in a position of compliance, but the choice encourages students to pick one.
Time -out / Chill-out area. Pre-designed area in room for students to have a time-out. This is introduced at the start of the year as a positive for the students, a 'break room' of sorts.
Out of seat
Refocus Cues - a pre-arranged signal or key word/phrase to indicate that the student needs to refocus their attention
PAT - preferred activity time. Schedule it very well to avoid students using it as free social time. Is good for engaging student interest and motivated. Reward based system of gaining more time is an incentive to behave.
Seating - Island. Students' desk is moved to a solo, island position or it is moved right next to the teachers' desk and they form a joint island.
