Experience giving feedback as a publicist
As creatives, you are frequently required to give feedback to filmmakers and as leaders you are also responsible for giving feedback to your team
Before we got started today, I asked your to draw what your biggest challenge was around giving feedback, and I'm sure if we all shared we would find similar themes - especially around giving constructive feedback
In today's workshop we will explore and practice some simple models and tools that will help shift your feedback skills from good to great!

What is feedback?
Feedback is sharing information designed to reinforce or change behavior
Who here owns a dog? Share Pici toilet training story. Key point: When Pici did the right thing, we used reinforcing feedback (big smiles, upbeat tone) to give her this feedback. Same principle applies to humans too!
Has anyone watched the TV show Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares? Ramsey uses counselling or corrective feedback to change the behavior of the restaurant owners
As I have learned through my experiences with Pici and Ramsey, the way we give feedback can have a big impact on the other person's performance
What does good and bad feedback look like?
Think about a time you received feedback - what qualities made it effective or ineffective?
Call on some participants to share
Put it into context
Who do you want to give feedback to and what outcome are you wanting to achieve?
Are you wanting to reinforce or change their behavior?
Write in handout
