INFLUENCES
Belief in stewardship (God having made humans responsible for looking after His creation) motivates Christians to take care of animals and the environment.
The belief in creation gives Christians a sense that they are not surrounded by chaos, but that there is an order and meaning to the world, particularly as God found that what He had made was 'very good'. This makes them feel positive and that their life has meaning.
SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES
Evolution
Based on Charles Darwin's teachings; the idea that humans evolved from a species of apes that could walk upright. Depending on where and how they lived they adapted to conditions.
Big BangTheory
The theory that our universe started off taking up a very small space and since then has continuously expanded.
