Islam guidance from stars and moon- Islam is a guide through life.
Buddhism eight spokes of the wheel symbolize the Noble Eightfold Path.
Hinduism (the Om) the most important religious symbols to Hindus. Represents the three worlds of earth, atmosphere, and Heaven; the three major Hindu gods.
Sikhism is mad up of 3 images: 1) Doubled edged sword-belief in one god.2)circle representing God without beginning or end.3) 2 crossed kirpans- daggers- representing spiritual authority and political power.

how is it used as a symbol
It is used as a symbol in a spiritual realm for what Jesus Christ does-guide people when they need it- and is compared to what light does in normal everyday life of people.
