1-The Jacquard Loom is a machine that creates very intricate patterns in fabrics. This is because of punch cards that transfer the information to the machines. The punch cards are very similar to the punch cards used in early technology to relay information
3- The turning machine was a mathematical model of computation. Any algorithm put into the automatic device would be copied, understood and transferred. This would later allow for the advancement of memory cards in computers.
2-IBM is a service that began technological advancement. In the 1950' they took the punch cards and began using them for computers and such. After the government began funding their research they were able to continue the advancement of computers
24- The iPhone was the first smartphone created by Apple. The Iphone was the first ever combanation of ditigal camera, computer, iPod, and cellular phone all in one device. This allowed for everything to be more mobile.
21- WifI was first released to customers in 1997. Wifi allows everyone to connect to the internet and communicate with eachother wirelessly.
15- VisiCalc or, visible calculator, was the first spreadsheet program for a personal computer. This was created for Apple products.
18- Symbolics.com was the first .com webpage ever created. It was released on March 15, 1985 (that's my birthday).
22- Facebook is an online social media platform. This allowed you to communicate with people across the world aimlessly.
13- Microsoft first received funding in 1975 from Bill Gates and Paul Allen. This gave Microsoft the money necessary to seel their language. Their first customer was MITS and shortly after followed the first personal computer. From there, Microsoft has continued their growth.
14- Apple first recieved funding in 1975. After Apple was given the money to progress their technology it began to take off. They have keyboards, desktops, phones, ipad, laptops and almost any technology you can think off.
11- The Ethernet is a cord that allows for more than one computer to run from the same server. Each computer is given the sam information but each is used individually.
12- The first personal computers came out in 1975. This wasn't just the computer for Microsoft or the IBM to make the computer run, it all came together. If you bought a personal computer you would get both the PC and IBM along with a keyboard.
8- GUI is the graphical user interface that allowed for pictures to be created and sent back and forth. This is basically the beginning of memes.
17- Microsoft Windows was created by Steve Jobs in 1983. Microsoft was the same technology as Apple just a different version allowing for competition between the companies.
23- Youtube is a videosharing platform. This became as a source of income for some people. Youtube brought more jobs to the technology field of interest.
19- HTML was first created in 1980 for physicists. They were able to exchange documents and then change the color of words and the font and backgrounds. It was first publicized in 1991
20- Google was the first every technology company to be able to public help with finding information, advertising, storage, software, and hardware all online.
9- DRAM allowed for one to save something personal to their computer. With DRAM people were able to customize their PC.
4- J.V. Atanasoff and Clifford Berry created the first automatic electronic digital computer. The computer was not programmable or 'turning- complete' the computer was simply to solve linear equations.
7- The integrated circuit is an electronic circuit that performs the same necessities as a discrete circuit. This made technology smaller and less bulky.
10- A floppy disk was the beginning of CD's. The floppy disk allowed users to download something from their PC onto the disk and then take it to their friend and show them. A very large version of a flash drive.
5- The ENIAC was the first 'turning complete' computer. It was able to solve many numerical problems
6- FORTRAN is the first computer language. COBOL is the advancement of FORTRAN that is more compatible for business use.
16- The Apple Lisa was the first ever personal computer created by Apple. Steve Jobs was kicked off the project which led to the creation of the first Macintosh XL which would later be simplified into today's MacBooks.
25- The iPad is meant for enjoyment without the interruption of phone calls and text messages. The ipad allowed for reading emails, playing games, watching videos, and listening to music.
