Countable and uncountable a/an, some, any
Countable
The countable names are those elements that can be contained one by one using the numbers.
Uncontable
The uncountable nouns are those elements that we can not count using numbers but using quantifiers or partitives.

Quantifiers: much, many, a lot /(of)
"Much" is used when we are talking about a singular noun. It is said for things that can not be counted, that is, for countless things.
"Many" is used when we are talking about a plural noun. It is said for things you can count on, that is, for accounting things.
"A lot" is used with both countable and uncountable names to indicate a lot, it is used in affirmative sentences.
