Belief of people who refuse to take part in war and violence. They believe these can rarely be justified, conflicts should be settled peacefully and wars prevented through promotion of justice. Many believe prayer + meditation can help people be at peace with themselves and others.
Conscientious objectors refuse to fight in a war on the grounds of conscience. Many take part non-violent roles, e.g. as medics or cooks. Many believe they have a peace-making role,
