It brings democratic valies to education and can include self-determination within a community of equals, as well as such values as justice, respect and trust. In this side, the opinion of students should be respect by classmates and teachers. In the other side, teachers would be against children interest in order to put into practice the critical thinking.

Philosophers of education are concerned with a security of what is said about education by those whose practise it and by those who theorise about it.
