ottoman empire: propaganda was already being distributed in the ottoman empire before it officially entered the war. this was mainly because of the transference of two ships from germany to the OE. they wanted to build up public support for Germany and the Central Powers, by circulating propaganda where they glorifed germany for being kind and respectufl to muslims rather than killing them like the Allied powers did. in november of 1914, they published the justifications for joining Germany in the war, calling it a holy war, saying hostilitry from France, Britain and Russia meant they were forced to ally themselved with germany. they further justified by saying that those countries have been killing and torturing muslims for centuries. the main source of propaganda was sharing the victories, stdickly banning mention of failure. the Battle of
