DEFINING HUMANITY: In “Love, Death, and Robots”, each episode presents an animated science fiction story revolving around at least one of the themes from the title. In “Zima Blue”, Zima is at first assumed to be a human artist. However, he reveals that he is an upgraded version of a robot built to clean a pool. With each upgrade, he gained more and more abilities to see and process the world around him. Zima being assumed to be a human because he looks, talks, and is seen as one provides a view on the human condition, and the constant quest for fulfillment.
