Ethics
Arguments on abortion
Abortion first became legal in 1967 under certain circumstances. An abortion could only be legal if her pregnancy would affect her physical or mental health.
In the past, abortion used to be a crime which was punished by life imprisonment.
Some people believe that abortion should always be a crime as life is a gift from God and the foetus is alive and has a right to be born.
Pro-life organisations is a religious view towards abortion. They believe that only God can create life and therefore only God can take away life. 'Thou shall not kill.'
Animal Rights
The sanctity of life should apply to humans and animals because it would stop animal abuse, it stops animals being hunted and it would show that every living thing is sentient.
