FUNCTIONS
Digestive System- Organs are involved in the breaking down of food into molecules that can pass through the wall of the digestive tract
Urinary System- Remove liquid waste from the blood in the form of urine; keep a stable balance of salts and other substances in blood; regulates blood volume

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease- A chronic disease that occurs when the esophageal sphincter relaxes, allowing the contents of the stomach to move back into esophagus
Cause: Astma, Diabetes, Smoking
Symptoms: Chest pain, sour taste, acid reflux
Treatment: Surgery, prescription and over the counter medication
Inflammatory Bowel Disease- A chronic complex intestinal condition that causes inflammation in the digestive tract
Treatment: Medication, surgery, fluid replacement
Symptoms: Abdominal pain, cramping, fever
Causes: Unknown, genetics, immune
