Density

Required Practical
-
- to measure the mass of the solid object, use an electronic mass balance
- for volume of regular solids, measure lengths of the sides using a millimetre ruler/ Vernier callipers/ micrometre screw gauge
- for irregular solids, put object into measuring cylinder/ Eureka can with water and measure volume of water displacement/ rise (= to volume of object)
- to measure volume of liquids, pour into a measuring cylinder
- to measure the mass of liquid, pour liquid into a beaker then subtract the empty beaker's mass from total mass with liquid
-
Internal Energy
-
when substance heated, particle's internal energy increases
-
-
Gas Pressure
-
-
Brownian motion
-
using a microscope, observe smoke particles
