Four passengers airlines hijacked

Two crashed into the North and South Towers, both
110 storeys collapsed. Debris and fires caused the collapse of other buildings around

A third plane crashed into the Pentagon in Virginia

The Fourth plane, known as Flight 93 was due to Washington but some passengers resisted and thwarted the hijackers.

Suspicion fell on al-Quaeda*

So the USA launched the War on Terror and invaded Afghanistan

Many countries strenghtened their anti-terrorist legislation

The destruction harmed the economy and caused trauma

Osama Bin Laden claimed responsability for the attacks in 2004. He was killed by SEAL team in 2011.

On November 2006, the construction of One World Trade Center began.

The new building was officially opened on November 3rd 2014. The place is called Ground Zero. Many Museums have been inaugurated.

There is now evidence of alleged Saudi Arabian involvement.
